What is the Crossection?

Every day, stories involving law and science capture our attention.  From medical devices and medicines to science and technology, law is a thread woven into each of these areas of interest.   

As a practicing litigator, I realize that legal-ease is anything but easy.  Who could possibly understand anyone who uses terms like "thou" and "heretofore?"  As a former high school biology teacher, I recognize how important it is to convey information that everyone understands. Trying to explain cellular division to high school sophomores confirmed this critical truth for me (although my students seemed much more interested and focused during the sexual reproduction chapter - - go figure).  As a former NYC Paramedic, I learned the importance of being clear and succinct.  To convey information about a critical situation to a patient or family member, simple and clear messages always worked. By combining the skills learned in each of these disciplines, it is my goal to clarify what is confusing, to explain what is complicated, and to give you the tools to understand the information presented. 

I will give you the facts.  If I have an opinion about the topic I present, my opinion will be separated out from the facts.  I believe we need to have a forum where facts are presented without opinion so each of us has the opportunity to formulate an opinion without influence.
